Pregnancy

Are you too alarmingly hairy?.....or is it just me?

Am half way through pregnancy and keep finding really long hair on face and neck. It's quite fine - which probably means it has been waving about unnoticed for ages before I spot itBlush and I hate it. one right in the middle of my cheek was about an inch long! Am worried I'm going to end up with a sort of bum fluffy beard Shock but don't want to make it worse by immac-ing my whole face and neck or something. Any ideas? Or is this new and unpleasant twist just happening to me?

Bet you're all having boys Wink.

I was much hairier when carrying my boy, and noticeably less hairy when pg with my girl.

See I've just noticed that I haven't had my legs waxed for almost 4 weeks, and i could still just about get away with a skirt. This is NOT usual for me (yeti by default!).

Never mind a kiwi, my belly is starting to resemble a blond gorilla!

I had IPL before DD, then had to stop when pregnant so no IPL+hormones meant I was ridiculously furry, and basically gave up in the end, thankfully when DD was 6 weeks old, all my body hair fell out (from my back, tummy, face etc) where it had been awful, then went back to normal. The hair is coming back with avegance with this pregnancy, so just hoping it all falls out at the end again.

I feel your pain! The kiwi-stomach, the long fine hairs waving around my face - and yes, I'm having a boy! Someone please tell me this goes away after the birth?! I really don't want to have to join the circus... :)

I have to shave my legs twice a week, armpits 3 times a week, thank you hormones!

Yes bibbitty - it is a boy! glad to here that I'm not the only one having to consider shaving! I suppose it makes sense that with boys you'd get more boy hormones and so more hair. Just hope it's temporary!!

This is a really interesting thread as I knew I was having a boy before the gender scan due to my lack of hair. Usually I am quite a hairy person but I have had noticeably less hair during pregnancy and there is, apparently, a school of thought that suggests that more frequent shaving etc indicates a girl. Just shows you how subjective these 'theories' can be...

libralady no, not just you! Also got an upsurge in facial hair and an alarmingly hairy tummy. AM v v v v v envious that everyone else has lovely downy blonde excess hair, mine ain't fair that's for sure Envy but at least DH seems oblivious.

and yep, cooking a boy! Had wondered about this prior to 20 week scan purely on basis of new tummy fur... Glad to hear it may fall out after, if beemybaby experience is the norm
