What early pregnancy symptoms did you have?

I am just wondering what early pregnancy symptoms you pregnant ladies actually experienced (if any) before your BFP? I know there seems to be an extensive list but a lot of my friends have said it was no AF that was the reason for a test and other symptoms come later? Just wondering as 9 dpo and symptom spotting and wondering if there is any point?!!

The first symptom was going off tea and this was days before I got a positive. I LOVE tea but somehow can only remember loving it.

Anyway, that's when I had an inkling Grin

All other symptoms followed the tea revulsion

Metal taste in mouth and suddenly didn't fancy a cup of tea.

This was on day AF due - I had planned not to test till 14 DPO but once I went off the tea I thought "hm, this is familiar" so had a go on an old cheapy stick I had left over from when DD was conceived 2.5 years ago. It wasn't even FMU but two lines came up strong straight away!

With DD it was the same, but with her also got suddenly waking at the crack of dawn wide awake, and needing to wee all the time.

I basically get the same symptoms as I might get when AF due: bloating, crampy feelings, sore boobs. But when pregnant I also get a weird taste in my mouth.

I thought I'd got my period a week early - but then it disappeared again after 2 days and I still had really sore boobs and cramps. Must have been an implantation bleed. The same day I started bleeding I also got a random massive wave of nausea in the car and blamed dh for driving too fast!

massive, heavy boobs, permanently erect nipples and more tired than normal. And a really good sense of smell!

waitingandwishing I am the same, its pretty normal (i hope) to symptom spot. We have our DD who I fell pregnant with the same month as decided to ttc and last month we decided to just not use contraception so if it happens it happens - no pressue etc.

I completely got my symptoms mixed last month as despite the 'no pressure' agreement with DH I was simply gutted.

However, this month i find myself doing the same thing again but am not mentioning it to him or out loud so not to be disapointed. My boobs were tingerly last night, nipples seem 'out', boobs feel gigantic and heavy. I have cramps and when fell 'wet' constantly with big blobs of white CM yesterday and today. I have 5/6 days until AF due.

The wait feels like forever. Good luck to you all.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you!! I also had a weird feeling this time- I just sort of knew I was pregnant. Also this time my symptoms have been a lot milder than with my first pregnancy- only been sick once as opposed to all day everyday!!

First sign for my previous pregnancies was that I would be in tears for a really stupid reason. Like if you saw the X factor in autumn 09 there was this teenage couple who were dreadful and it turned out they had split up but were still auditioning together. They were embarrassingly terrible. And Simon cowell tried to get them to get back together which was the only reason they'd made it to the live auditions, it was so set up. But I was in tears! I never get that emotional with AF.

Last pregnancy I unfortunately miscarried but had the same thing and crying at something ridiculous I heard on the radio, it was what made me think maybe... But both times it was too early to test, first time I didnt put two and two together. And it only happened once each time and completely caught me unawares as I hadn't been feeling at all emotional.

The other thing I noticed with first pregnancy was that my boobs were sore when I went for a run and for me AF would not have had that effect. But that was much later on the day AF was due so I took a test and got BFP.

Other thing is that I just felt pregnant but that was only from about 16dpo. Weirdly that feeling went away just a few days before I miscarried. I remember thinking it was wierd because I didn't feel pregnant even though I knew you did not get false BFPs from clear blue digital tests.

And now I am fingers crossed for this month so good luck and keep us updated- fingers crossed it'll be us both!

Sticky out nipples, massive sore boobs (which had stopped getting sore before period after I had ds) and a gigantic blue vein appearing in one of them!

That was at about 3 weeks, took till 5 weeks for the positive pregnancy test tho, grrrr!

this pregnancy i was standing in the kitchen wi my mum the day before AF was due and got a cramp in my tummy and i just knew, tested the very next morning expecting a BFN just to make me feel loopy and there were 2 lines .. i nearly fainted Grin

Hello mumsnetters,
This is my first entry on this amazing network. I found out I was pregnant yesterday after getting married last month...it's too wonderful for words. Smile
I think I had very early symptoms: the first sign was needing to wee (a lot of water) about every hour - this lasted a few days and began about 5 days after conception. Next came swollen (and by swollen I mean massive) and very tender breasts - I think this symptom began a week after conception. After a week of sore boobs, I then had 48 hours of tummy cramps, followed by 24 hours of very light spotting. For the past 2 weeks I have had bad constipation. I was very surrised at how many changes I could feel happening so quickly. Toodle-oo!

This pregnancy - Sore boobs, period like pains, needing to wee a lot.
Then one day at work smells that don't normally bother me were making me feel really sick (I'm a care worker I'll leave the rest to your imagination. :) ) and my sense of smell was generally heightened.
Later that day when I had time to think (and curse the period pains and wish the period would just hurry up and start) I realised I was 5 days late.

With DD I can't remember noticing the sense of smell, but everything else was the same.... except by the time I realised what was happening AF was 2 weeks late!

The only symptom I had apart from normal PMS symptoms were sore breasts/nipples. A common PMS synptom but this was ridiculous. If I took my bra off I'd be in pain. If I dared ipen the fridge door with no bra on it'd feel like someone was stabbing and tweaking me simultaneously.

Sickness kicked in around week 6.

Absolutely none with both pregnancies! Very lucky in that I had no sickness throughout either.

Congratulations on your marriage and pregnancy! :)

Hi wishing, I'm 4+5 and the symtoms I have are, very heavy boobs and slightly sore nipples, waking up feeling light headed, stretching pains in my back when I stand up. Good luck

I too went completely off cups of tea; and I normally love them. Simply couldn't stomach even the thought of one.

I was also ridiculously fatigued, although at that stage was not sure why! I would tell DH I was going to 'read a book' at 5pm and he would kiss me goodnight! lol.

But I think possibly the first symptom I really noticed was dizziness. Whenever I would get up from a sitting or lying position, or turn too quickly, I would be reaching for something to stop myself from toppling over!

I had all these symptoms before I noticed AF was late... so didn't put two and two together initially.

Good luck, hope you get the result you want!

Thanks ladies, seems there really is a long list of symptoms that do happen!! Essexmumma, I have had the same regarding CM, have not noticed it previous months but my underwear is actually damp because of it (sorry if tmi). I didn't know if that was a symptom or not?? I have also been feeling nauseas all week and have really lost my appetite and just don't feel like eating but when I do I feel a bit better! Also have cramps and lower back pain and tender boobs! Who knows though, it's so hard when most of the symptoms can be attributed to AF as well. Wish there was just something really obvious and you could just know!!!
