Hi everyone. Iam 8weeks 2moz and saw the midwife for the first time today!
I cant believe im pregnant even tho the pregnancy test i did was positive and my period is very very late!
The doctor said the surgery uses the same test (it is apparently over99% accurate) and my period was late so get used to it.
dont think i will believe it till the scan.
i am terrified of everything going wrong or there being no baby.
everyone else believes it except me!
1st unexpected pregnancy and get symptoms, not strong and just usual am pretty lucky really!
I get the cramps that are normal but alwayts worry.
just want to know is all wat im thinking normal?

mumtobe, you sound just like me a few weeks ago. I couldn't believe it either! All what you have said is perefctly normal and in a few weeks you'll laugh at yourself. Enjoy and congratulations. Keep your fingers crossed that you don't feel too icky or shattered.

I understand just what you mean. Those few weeks between the BFP and the first scan are very weird. If you're lucky and don't get MS, then there isn't really much to show for the pg apart from the missing AF lol. Its totally normal to not quite believe it, and to be slightly weirded out by it all. Its only a few long weeks to your scan, try not to worry too much

totally normal. I still cant believe it at times and I am 27 weeks + 1. But then again I was told I would never conceive.

i was 19 weeks when i found out i was pregnant, i'm 36 weeks now and still feeling a little shell shocked! I think even if you've planned a pregnancy you still feel terrified of everything beacuse its just such a big thing to go through.

Big congrats Mumtobe. It is weird isn't it? I'm a bit like Lolajane (not told I wouldn't ever but told it was unlikely) and now I am 21+2 and most days I don't believe it is happening - although this morning when I caught sight of my side view in the mirror I believed it!
I was petrified every day until I got beyond 12wks, and I don't think that I will believe it really until bambino pops out. But enjoy it all, it is quite an experience, plus there's Mumsnet to enjoy too!
xx
