Sharp pains in tummy- 22 weeks

Hi,
Last night I was awoken by a pain down the right side of my stomach. I can't really explain it, but it hurt in the same way it does when you sleep on your arm at a funny angle, so when you wake up it is painful to move. Does that even make any sense? It took my breath away and kept me awake for a while.
This morning I was fine, then after lunch I started getting sharp, stabbing pains across the middle of my tummy. I felt really hot and sick. I managed to have a nap (unlike me to rest in the day!!).
In the last hour, I have started having sharp pains in my lower left tummy.
This is my third baby and I've not experienced this before.
Any ideas?

Sorry, I didn't mean to worry you! I'm not a midwife but I just think if it is concerning you, you should really go and make sure that everything is ok.

Oh ok, I was worried that you meant these were classic symptoms of...! I can't go anywhere tonight as dh leaves for work soon so I am on my own with dds. I think I will call someone in the morning- out of hours gp or community midwife? I'm wondering if it could be a UTI? I have already had treatment for thrush and still have a lot of discharge and some uncomfortable weeing (sorry for the TMI Blush).

Haha! Don't worry about TMI. Is there such a thing during pregnancy?!?

Look after yourself and if you get worse seek medical advice. You could give NHS direct a call, just to see what they say? Smile

Any uncomfortable weeing is a sign of a UTI so until you get to see someone drink plenty of water
