Bleeding at 30+4 weeks - someone stop me freaking out

Apart from the HG, my pregnancy has been absolutely fine but I woke this morning with blood in my knickers. Was brown but I did have bright red last night which I thought was caused by my piles but maybe not

Called midwife who said keep an eye on it, probably hormonal and nothing to worry about but if more or red call back/go in but still....freaking out! Am convinced my placenta is rupturing (I do have a doppler and can hear baby and it wiggled a bit so think I am being overly dramatic and hormonal).

Anyone else had this?

Had some bleeding much earlier, around the 13/14 week mark. Brown blood is old blood,if you have recently had sex that could be a reason. If you can feel baby moving seems ok. Whenever I have a panic about movement etc I'll have a really cold orange juice or coke as it always gets the baby wriggling. Lay down on yr left hand side,I find that easier to feel movements.
If you are worried then go to hospital, good luck,do come back & tell me the baby has kicked you & all is ok!

with my last preg I had a spot of bleeding at 32 weeks. When me braxton hix started to get more intense I thought it was time to get it checked and indeed I was in the early stages of labour. They managed to stop it and when a similar bleed happened at 35 weeks he was delivered by c-section. It really was a spot of blood but my doc said cervix was beginning to think. Get it checked out.

I had some bleeding the other night at 16 weeks. Started red and was brown by the time I got to hospital (twas panicking). Scan revealed everything was fine. Still have some brown discharge but mostly gone back to normal. I wouldn't worry unless it gets heavier.

I had brown blood at 25+something with my first. Turned red at 26+5. There was only a tiny amount - it was only really a pink streak but I delivered at 26+6 with no other warning.

It may be nothing but definitely worth keeping an eye on, and any more call delivery suite they should check you over.

I had unexplained bleeding at 30ish weeks in my last pregnancy. I went in to get checked out. All was well.....so try not to worry too much (easier said than done, I know!) ....and no sex for the next while until it settles!

I had some brown blood earlier this week and spent all week freaking myself out. My midwife sent me to get checked over at the hospital and basically told me off for not calling the hospital earlier. If you're worried then you should just call them and get monitored, I wish I had earlier, feel SO much better now. They really won't think you're wasting their time. I'm 34 weeks btw.

by the way, doctor said mine was harmless changes to the neck of my womb causing some spotting and nothing to worry about, but they did do a thorough check....hooked me to a monitor to do a graph of baby's heartbeat, internal exam (quick and painless if a little uncomfy) and I even got a scan of the baby done. Also found out which way baby was lying which was nice since my mw couldn't seem to tell me. So its worth being brave and going to the hospital!
