Morning all! I thought I'd come on over and say hello, intorduce myself etc!!

Im Kate, Im 26 and married to my lovely hubby since 6th Nov 2010. We are pregnant with our first baby, due August 26th, he's a honeymoon baby :)

This is my first time over on this site, since getting pregnant, Ive been over on Baby and Bump, but I have been reccommended this site by some old forum friends from my wedding planning days, so I thought I'd check you all out!! Im sure it'll take me a while to get used to it over here, but it seems like a nice place to hang out!!

Is there anyone else with the same EDD as me? Team blue, pink or yellow?

Kate x

Hi Mrsktb,

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm also new to this site today. I'm not due till December but wanted to say hello anyway. Hello also to kri5ty, hope all is going well for you. I've found the first trimester a very anxious time!!

Hello all.

I've never actually posted on a forum before, but have had the last few days off work due to morning sickness (or should I say, morning, afternoon, evening and night sickness!) and was feeling a bit sorry for myself. Has been really helpful to read up on other people's experiences.

AshleeB, I am inspired by your ability to manage with your other little ones to look after whilst pregnant; I'm only 8 weeks, with no children and I'm already feeling despairing with the constant nausea/sickness/exhaustion. I feel like such a wuss!!! Anyone else gone through this phase too?

Moaning aside, I am very happy and congratulations to you all.

KW111....first trimester was total pants for me. Just felt ill and constantly nauseous. Wore off around 16 weeks I think and second trimester has been fab. I'm now entering third trimester and starting to slow down I think but still feeling quite good really so can't complain. So, it gets better but it's just rubbish for a while. Congrats to you too. :)

Thanks rootatoot, trying to stay positive, this is nausea on a whole different level and has taken me by surprise - did you get kind of motion sickness too? Only, when lying perfectly still?!

So glad you're feeling better now and enjoying the pregnancy!

kw I was ok when I woke up but if I was dashing about, bending, going up/downstairs lots then the nausea would start and then that would be it for the rest of the day. Didn't really have motion sickness as such when still, no. Do you mean like that kind of room spinning/ drunk feeling? Keep an eye on blood pressure. You can get that with low blood pressure I think. Feeling faint, that kind of thing.

Pregnancy in general took me by suprise and as I say, first bit was rubbish cos I just felt ill and not pregnant. Much more fun when you feel ok, have an excuse to eat cake and put feet up and watch the bump jump about! xox
