Hmm I decided to check my bump out in the mirror today...and was surprised at how big it is!! I took a photo and showed it people and they all said I look a lot more than 13 weeks!

Just feeling like a bad mother to be as for the past 2 months all I could eat was junk... I just hope I haven't made my little bump obese! Lol

You could also just be bloated...13 weeks is really early.

Hi again kri5ty, I had a noticeable bump at 9 weeks! And at 13 weeks my sis-in-law told me she had never seen anyone look so pregnant so early! But I was very small before, no tummy at all, so nowhere for it to hide! And like ParisPreMom says, a lot of it is probably water, and gas wink

I'm 24 weeks now and bump is a perfectly normal size!

Haha hello again! Yes I had a very flat stomach before, and very slim, so I think that might have something to do with it! And Paris yes It prob is bloating too :-) x

Mine seems big today and I'm 13 weeks. Also one side is sticking out more than the other?

I'm 14 + 3 and I have a belly like I've never had before! Whatever dress size I've been I've always had a flat tummy and shelf-like behind but now my tum is really sticking out! There is something written on MN somewhere that says when you have an early bump it may be the uterus that is rising up out of the pelvis. But my tummy is massively bigger at night than when I wake up in the morning - suggesting it's some weird kind of bloating?? Either way it can't be blubber as it's the wrong shape and is quite hard... Confused

My bumps are always massive. (This third one espesh!) Reasons include
1)nowhere for bump to hide. I'm quite shallow, pelvis wise, and 5'6". 2)Wind (I get IBS when stressed and I can find loads to worry about in pg Wink)
3)My muscles are quite relaxed so bump grows during day.

So far I've only given birth to normal size babies. As long as your mw is happy, just chill and ingore that over the next 27 weeks you'll be told you're small/big bumped by total strangers usually within a few hours of one another.

I'm kind of embracing the bump to be honest. I'm one of the lucky people who can eat for England and not put weight on.. and I got fed up of people commenting on it...

I think I was just worrying I turned my baby into a tubster from all the chicken nuggets I have been eating... boyfriend decided to nickname bump 'nugget' because of this lol

Same here. When I found out I was pregnant we went to supermarket and bought text-book good food. I had such good intentions. My plan was not to consume a single additive and nothing processed. Within 5 days the sickness started and everything rotted in the fridge. Since then it's been 2-3 bottles of Lucozade a day, a packet of crisps everytime I start gagging, potatoes, rice and those skinny McDonalds cheesburgers (must be eaten in pairs). Thank god for pregnancy supplements. Plus I now get into bed at 6pm so my body's gone all...soft... Sad

Haha Kelly we did the exact same thing! So much money was wasted on food that went off. I just reached for a rustler burger, or cheese and onion crisps! I'm still on rice, pastas, potato with spaghetti hoops Haha (1 of your 5 day woo) but this last week I have been able to stomach s chicken breast (rather than a kfc lol) and I managed a tomato salad the other day too and felt quite proud of myself lol

Hi Kelly - sorry to be a boring old so and so but definitely lay off the lucozade - they are pure sugar and 2-3 bottle a day puts you at a masssively increased risk of gestational diabetes.

kir5ty (from Manchester right?) I'm 16 1/2 and feel HUGE! Poped out at 14 wks all of a sudden. I'm slim too and I think that makes it more obvious early on. I'm embracing it too, although actually wish it would grow a bit more as nothing fits me anymore, bit it's still a bit small for most mat clothes, which tend to be huge!!

KellyCZ - I could have written this myself!

So glad its not just me - thought I was going to explode the other night, must be gas. Delightful.

I'm the opposite, I wish I looked bigger! 16 weeks tomorrow and because I have a bit of a belly on me anyway (could do with losing a stone or 2!) I'm not yet showing but I wish I was!

I'm only 6 weeks and have been so bloated, I can't do my jeans up. I've already got 2 children and when pregnant with them wore my normal jeans til about 16 weeks. Don't know what's different this time but it is slightly concerning! People's bodies just do different things when pregnant, hopefully the belly growth will even out for you....
