Im just over 18 weeks with my first baby, since last night i have been getting the odd pain in my groin area, either left, right or in the middle. They arent severe or last long. I dont have to be doing anything for them to start. I wasnt sure if this is something that just happens or to ring the midwife tomorrow? I did do pregnancy yoga yesterday, but doesnt feel like muscle pains. Confused

Are they like stabbing pains? I had those they soon pass.

it might be ligament pain. if you google your round ligament you'll see (some pretty grim diagrams) that show it's a ligament that holds your uterus in place. as your uterus grows the ligament stretches and give you a really odd pain to the right and left of your groin.
I'm 17+4 and am feeling this ALL the time.. my MW explained what it was.

Hi Freeangel, I am 18 weeks tomorrow with first baby and I have been having similar pains to you for a few days now! Sometimes they are stabbing and sometimes it feels like cramp. I have done a few google searches and apparently it is quite normal for some pregnnant women to have this - thank god! :)

Phone the midwife or get an appointment they dodn't mess around and would rather help.

Cos it's probably ligaments but best to check for your own peace of mind.
