I'm expecting my 6th baby in Jan 2012 so only 8 weeks but yesterday I felt some fluttering when I walked to the shops, thought nothing of it but they have carried since is this right (not experienced it this early before) or are my dates wrong??? Not got scan date booked yet :(

I had some vague flutterings for a few days at 8/9 weeks with my first - I know that's unusual with first one, but for you with your sixth maybe not so? Congratulations Smile

Im 9wks and have experienced the same this week as well. This is my second but I felt dd at 12/13 weeks. Which I was told was unusual for first timers.
Btw there is a thread for Jan 2012 babies in the antenatal forums. Very lovley ladies. Come and john us.

If this is your sixth baby you probably know pretty well what baby movements feel like so can recognise them easier and earlier. Your uterus has stretched and contracted 5 times before so it's probably quite different to a first time pregnancy - maybe the walls are more sensitive?!

The other possibility is you may have had a bleed at 4 weeks and assumed it was your period, so are actually 12 weeks pregnant. This is what happened to me. Smile

I'm 10+3 with my 4th and have had this on and off for about 10days. Tbh I thought I was a bit nuts.... but I'm feeling it most evenings if I lay very still on the bed. Also, I know my dates are spot on as I've a mmc and a mc already this year so have been scanned at 6 & 8 weeks.

I'm due on Boxing Day but may well end up with Jan baby as dd was 10days late!

Normally I would say maybe your dates were wrong but as you're quite experienced at this maybe not! Wink

I'm 10 + 4 with my second and have also been feeling flutterings and some big old flips! I mentioned it to the sonographer at my 10 week scan thinking she would tell me I was nuts and she said that a lot of people have said the same thing to her. I felt DS1 at 14/15 weeks which was early as well. I know it can't be wind as it is so low down!

Thanks ladies, I was started to think I was just imagining things but still feeling them more and more. Can't wait to have my scan, although have been told to be prepared for twins as that is a possibility the more pregnancies you have Shock. DS4 is only 7 months so my body probably still hasn't gone back to normal yet, just was surprised by how early this was but good to know that you have felt the same.

I thought I had flutterings too and DH laughed me. I'm 8 weeks too but it's only my second. It really felt like the baby flutters though.

Surely if so many of us are feeling them it must true!
