Strange Pains

I'm 6 - 7 weeks pregnant and have been having some really strange pains today, which make me jump. I wouldn't say they are severe or overly painful they just make me jump. I'm getting them mainly in my vagina and sometimes in my bottom. Is this normal and has anyone else experienced this?

Yes I have, but I couldn't tell you what they are! Sorry not to be more help. I also got them when I wasn't pregnant. I haven't had them for a while but remember it was like a hot poker being poked up there, only lasted a split second.

I would mention it to your midwife. Sorry to not be able to offer any better advice or reassurance x

Thanks, it's just comforting to know someone else has experienced it too. It's not painful just odd and uncomfortable, so I'd like to think it's nothing too serious. Good call though, I'll mention it to the midwife on Tuesday. xx

I got something like that early on and still every now and again, was told it was body streatching etc to prepare for baby growth. Try not to stress but speak to MW if you are worried x

I've had these both times, and it was never a problem. Pregnancy seems to bring all sorts of random harmless aches and pains for many people.

Could be the start of heameroids! You can have them all the way through your pregnancy! But I had a lot of those pains early on in all my pregnancies! Think that it's quite normal.
