How much do most people's dates change (if at all) at the 12 week scan?

I ask because I wanted the nuchal scan but my appointment's not until I'll be 13+4 - which seems cutting it a bit fine if I'm a couple of days out (and at a previous scan I was 2-3 days further on than they first thought).

So are most people pretty accurately what they thought they'd be at their 12 week scan, or does it change a lot? Just trying to get a sense of how likely it is that they'll be able to do the nuchal...

My dates only changed by a day. So originally my due date was 24 Aug, then after the 12 week scan they changed it to the 25th.

Mine changed by 11 days with DS1, but I have a long cycle, so don't fit the mould so to speak.

I had my scan at 13+3 apparantaly they try to get it as close to 13 weeks as possible now which was really frustrating (especially since I'd started counting down the days til week 12).They managed the nuchal fine with me though and she seemed quite happy. I was only 1 day less when they checked the size of the baby though.

By a couple of days (later). Mind you I know I ovulate on about day 20 so I was expecting to be put back a little from what the "LMP" calculators said.

Mine changed by 11 days, I had a 35 day cycle, and has been consistent with this measurement since

Mine changed by a week to what I thought my dates were as my cycle is short and very regular.

Mine changed by about three weeks, but it was due to very specfic circumstances. It meant I wasn't able to have that test. I had already moved my scan date after thinking the one they'd given me was a bit late! Just call and see if they have had a cancelation.

Mine changed by about 10 days. For them that is. I 'knew' when I was due, had a scan at what they said was 5 1/2wks, then one at what they said was 7 1/2wks then one at what they said was 12 weeks and they said I was 13 1/2wks. Quel suprise!

Happened last time too.

Am the same as Lola. Mine always change by a week or so as i have a long cycle.

I am glad about this as there is no way i want them jumping up and down at the end about a late baby when i know perfectly well it is not late!

Mine changed from 28 July to 22 July. I must have ovulated straight after my period, which I didn't know was possible.

Mine changed by just 2 days which was amazing considering how messed up my cycle was at the time, some bleeding going on etc. so we'd just taken a wild punt at the EDD.

Mine was bought forward from 9 Sept to 4 Sept....which I though was interesting considering it was IVF therefore all dates were fairly indisputable!

He has been consistently 1 day ahead in all his measurememnts of even this from 14 weeks!

Hmm, definitely will try and get a cancellation then. This is all very helpful - thank you!

Mine was spot on to the day. I take it as a good sign of a cooperative LO in the future Grin

Mine has gone back by 2 days, which is interesting as I would have been at the start of the messy bit! Never mind, I think I just have big babies!
