hi,
when using the word 'normal' i know that everyone is different, but also am sure symptoms for any vaginal infections would be v.similar in most ppl.

TMI ALERT

yesterday i noticed a damp patch in my knickers Blush but it had a strange almost sweet smell, not that of urine.
today i didnt have that, but got a blob like a big bogey

is this usual in pregnancy?

Yes. I've had everything from almost EWCM through to runny, cloudy, yellow, sticky and currently quite dry and leaving residue in my pants. As none of it smells bad or is bloody I was never bothered by it and the sonographer told me that CM thickens slightly and becomes more prevalent when you're pregnant, we then got into a really gross conversation about it at work and one of the grls admitted to having "shoelace-like" strings of snotty discharge at times when pregnant with her second.

Unless you're worried about an infection then chances are it's just one more of these things that no one tells you about!

Wide range of normal I think. I don't remember having lots of discharge first time around but have had loads from almost day 1 with this pregnancy. It has varied in amount and consistency and has occasionally been bloody but everything okay, midwife happy and I'm 20 weeks now.

Yes totally normal. I think if it gies greenish and starts to smell minging u should worry but just loads of it and it being thick isn't a problem

I've read that amniotic fluid smells sweet, so you really should check in with your midwife in case your waters are leaking.

I was admitted to hospital for pains in my previous section scar. Whilst there they did a thorough check of everything and took some swabs. The results came back with bacterial vaginosis, and I had, had no symptoms whatsoever. Treated now and finished treatment. But over the last few days I have been getting stringy discharge which is greeny but doesn't smell and also have increased EWCM. I will mention it to my midwife just because I have had an infection in the last 3 months and want to rule out another one. This is my 3rd and I have always got lots of EWCM and the occasional bit of creamy coloured but not greeny before.

hiya, i loose alot of discharge when pg. i am 28 weeks with my 2nd pg and have had to wear pantyliners everyday since about 12 weeks. if i dont i get a wet patch in my pantsSad

i was the same when pg first time round and thought i was losing fluid so went and got checked out. they were lovely about me going, you can never be too careful over things like this, so if i was you i would give them a ring and see what they say.

so this time round i know that i am just extra 'juicy' Grin when pg!
