I am so tired, I really want him out.

I am hot, I can't sit in the garden with my kids because theres only a bench to sit on and I can't get comfy. I'm too hot - even in the shade

I have had shit nights of sleep for weeks.

I have heartburn every time I eat.

I am going to buy a trampoline and jump on it Grin

come out baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Bath/shower.
Book an appointment for something you really want to do tomorrow.
Walk.
Clean out cupboards.
Fold up baby clothes.

Good luck!

They have some loungers in argos for about 17.00 which recline.
Send dp for one of those and chill with a book and cool drink.
Grin

I feel your pain! Want this baby out now before i seriously scream at someone. Its too hot. Im swollen, I ache and im tired!!!!

I hear you, especially on the bench thing! I got out my old canvas foldable chair today which helps as it's not hard like the bench. I then stick my feet in the children's paddling pool. And the heartburn.. Angry plus I have not managed more than 2-3 hours sleep at a time for weeks either!

Thankfully I have an end in sight with a medically necessary ELCS on Thursday but that doesn't mean I am enjoying myself! I've never known time to pass so slowly especially whilst being so uncomfortable.

aaah memories of being 38weeks pregnant this time 3yrs ago in a heatwave [bugrin]
ds3 born in freezing january - don't know whether it was worse being hot and bothered and pregnant or being freezing and having to get boobs out.
i planned a long walk to get things going and my waters went just as i was about to go downstairs...baby arrived that evening.

I'm 39+1 and have been unable to kick back and relax. Been having accupuncture to bring on labour without success. Sweeps booked for next week. Oh and babies are freaking me out (this is dc2)

Report
Pootletrinket · 23/04/2011 09:11

I was desperate for DC2 to be early, have been ready since 39 weeks; really really struggling to keep my sanity now at 40+11 - sweep not possible, had MANY sessions of reflexology, tried the usuals and now I really know what desperate means. The only thing that makes it better is trying to keep busy and make plans (and avoid people who say "haven't you had that baby yet?" "stay positive" "can't be much longer now" "you'll forget all about this when baby is here" and other things like that)

Am going for long walk this morning and plan to do lots today - even had a bit of, ahem, 'time' with DH last night!

and will attempt it again tonight,

c'mon baby!

Tomorrow when Dp takes Dd to his Mums I'm even planning some. Hands and knees floor scrubbing! Never done that before :)

Report
Pootletrinket · 23/04/2011 09:39

Didn't work for me (only gave it one attempt TBH, was v. sore but then MW said she thinks I have internal thrush, so no external symptoms - nice, just what I need!).

I'm the big fat waddling one with aching pelvis and sore feet, but DH whines about his ankle and DD about her legs and not having enough energy - so managed a decent mile yesterday but not high hopes for much more today! Tsk!

Ah think I got a bit excited about nothing. Due 28th. Having loads of braxton hicks though and the odd painful twinge so I'd say in the next day or 2 fingers crossed.

Dp and dd are out at MILS and I'm finally getting a day to myself pottering around the flat doing bits and bobs. Bloody lovely.

CaringForPod · 24/04/2011 17:24

I'm due the 27th or 29th, depending upon who you believe - so I feel your pain! Been walking every day, a fair distance, more than I have in the last few months, but nada.

Thought my waters might have broken last night, but it was a false alarm.

Come on baby!

Am not due until 1st/2nd am torn btwn wanting baby out as am hot bothered, can't do anything with DS and the anticipation is killing me, plus, worrrying about movements is doing my head in.

I feel like this baby is very well settled and people are still going to be asking me innfive years when I'm due! Eek!

Littlemisskiwi · 25/04/2011 08:45

Hi. I'm only 35+4 and am so looking forward to baby's arrival. Have had a scan which shows he's got a huge head, which may be why I'm aching so much in my groin area. have started feeling sick and my chest feels completely restricted.
Worse is I live in NZ where its turning in to a cold, rainy winter, so when baby comes, I'll be stuck at home with DD ( 2 years) who'll be climbing the walls!
Good luck all you nearly due ones.

HipHopOpotomus · 25/04/2011 22:22

I had a not very successful sweep today. I was sure baby was well engaged but apparently not! Cervix is long and not ready either. Big walk tomorrow.

HipHopOpotomus · 26/04/2011 06:37

Nowt from me - 40+1 today. Hopefully having a sweep tomorrow x

Go for reflexology and lie about your due date, bring it forward so you are 2 weeks over due Grin
If it's not cooked though he/she won't come, my friend had three failed inductions so they sent her home for another week and then out he came.

Report
bringmesunshine2009 · 26/04/2011 09:25

Oh yes, DS at nursery, hair cut directly, plus pedicure and eyebrows!!
