Second Pregnancy - when did you start to show?

Hi, I'm on my second pregnancy (9 weeks) and am already starting to show! Is this normal? I am fairly slim. I don't want to tell anyone until 14 weeks (we're renegotiating contracts at work) but don't think I'm going to be able to hide it for much longer!

MarathonMama, this is my 2nd too. I totally embraced elasticated waists with No1 and was DETERMINED not to do the same this time. However I was convinced I was showing from about 6 weeks but I think I probably just looked like I had put on a bit of weight. Even people I had told kept saying that they couldn't really tell although for me (quite sporty and slim before becoming pg) it seemed obvious. I am now 20 weeks and this week - for the first time - someone asked me without being told I was pg when I was due. I am however now wearing clothes to show it rather than conceal ... I guess what I'm saying is that you probably feel bigger than you actually are and that it's more obvious than it is. And nobody will dare ask you anyway ;-)
Good luck with the renegotiations

Hi,

You may not be showing but just be bloated. I didn't need maternity clothes till nearly 20 weeks with DD1 (am around a size 12 not pregnant or carrying post-baby weight), around 14 weeks with DD2 but with DS (child no. 3) it appeared I was showing by 10-12 weeks. Enough that 2 people were confident enough to ask if I was expecting again before I had the 12 weeks scan and a few others admitted to being suss. I had a lot of bloating with DS up to about 14 weeks when it all went and I started showing at a more normal rate again.

I have just found out I am expecting no. 4 and don't know what will happen over the next few weeks. Given this will be 4 kids within 6 years (planned that way : )) I am not sure the stomach muscles have any strength left!

Thanks, I don't seem to be showing much at all anymore so it must have been bloating!
