Week 39 and regular 'vibrations'...?

I'm due in a few days, and for the last day or two I keep getting regular vibrations right down somewhere on my pelvic floor. They're very subtle (like a very faint 'buzzing'), and a regular length - around 2 seconds with a 2 second delay. I think it's pretty constant, but I have to be quiet / still in order to feel it.

I'm not concerned about this as the baby's movement etc is all very strong and regular. But I'm very curious! I think I read that babies "breathe" amniotic fluid - could it be this that I'm feeling? I can't imagine what else it could be Confused

This is definitely not hiccups as baby gets those, and they're really nothing like this - much stronger and more obvious.

Funny I had this last night for the first time. Im 38 weeks and on my 5th baby. Never had it before and it was like you said, a vibration. Might just go and have a poke round google for answers!

Read it could be like muscle spasms but kept coming up as baby hiccups which I know it certainly isnt! Will keep looking!!

There doesn't seem to be any info about what it might be, does there - muscle spasms don't seem to cover it as it's too gentle and the other movements are going on as normal. Almost convincing myself that I'm imagining it at times, but as soon as I'm still I can feel it again!

This happened to me during a scan and it was baby sucking her thumb. Might not be true for everyone but thats what it was for me!

32 weeks and I had this twice last night. At the top of the bump. Felt like baby having a wee Confused or blowing bubbles or something. Defo not hiccups. Followed by two painful contractions across bump. All is calm now.
