Are these Braxton Hicks?

Hellooo! I'm 28 + 6 with number one, so quite inexperienced and I'm not really sure what Braxton Hicks are meant to feel like...

I do get these occasional times, where I just feel totally winded. I feel like I have to breathe in more heavily because there is a huge weight on my lungs, but then it subsides. I can't say weather it coincides with my bump feeling extremely tight, but I have noticed that with the breathlessness, there is some tightness...but then sometimes there isn't..

Can anyone suggest why sometimes I suddenly feel like there is a huge weight on my chest? It even happens when I'm sitting down, not necessarily doing anything, sometimes when I'm driving and when I'm walking.

What are Braxton Hicks meant to feel like! Confused

Oops, weather and whether confusion! Must be the baby brain! Put the milk in the cupboard and the cereal in the fridge today too!

I'm probably not the best to advise you as I'm 29 wks with my first, but I often get that out of breath feeling you're describing, though I'm pretty sure what I'm experiencing is simply that. There is so much less space for the lungs that getting a good long breath can be quite hard. I can be just sitting at my desk at work and I'll suddenly give a huge sigh/deep breath, for no apparent reason. It's been happening to me for some time...

I wonder what anyone else will say...?

I was on a trace the other day and the midwife said I was getting Braxton Hicks. Kind of feels like the baby is trying to push its way out the front of your abdomen- it tightens and is uncomfortable but not painful. It lasted about 15-20 secs every few mins for about 15 mins while I was on the trace. Before that I thought it was just the baby being awkward!
