Hard bump at night

Hello

Did anyone or has anyone experienced getting a hard bump at night early on in pregnancy?

In fact it was pretty sturdy this morning too!

I have one more week of hiding it at work and then I can breath out!

Didn't want you to go unanswered! Yes, I think I did if I remember right - I think it was probably just down to bloating, but I can remember it being quite uncomfortable. Keep drinking lots of water Smile

My stomach is squidgy during the day the by bedtime it shrinks and I'm left with a hard bump. I'm 12w today :)

yep, a spot below my stomach seems fairly solid at times.

Starts off flat in the morning for me, bigger, squidgy and flabby by around now, and then fully inflated and firm by night. I'm only 8 weeks so I put it down to bloating, trapped wind and water retension. No chance for me to hide it at work though - I work nights so it's bursting by then Sad.

I posted about this a while ago and some answers suggested that because I had (accidentally) been sleeping on my back I was causing problems with the blood flow, resulting in the hard bump.... :(

Oddly enough my GP was talking to me about this only this morning. She said that pregnant women tend to retain fluid as the day goes on, leading to bigger bump in the evening/night. Overnight it all drains out and then when you go to the loo in the morning you're back to square one.

jims I hope you're wrong because I can't help sleeping on my back at the moment.

Well I'm 24 weeks now and first thing in the morning my bump is like a hard little rock right in the middle of my tummy.

Later on in the day it feels much bigger and wider and more squidgy. And by evening it's considerably bigger and squidgier!

So I'd say it's something that continues throughout pregnancy!
