Anyone else being a grumpy old cow?

37 weeks. I am being horrible to everyone and I can't help it.
Everything and everyone is irritating me.
Please tell me I'm not alone?
Anyone care to join me in some mutual moaning?

I've not been too bad so far (am 19 weeks) but thought I'd mention my friend, who gave birth a few weeks ago & had similar issues. She simply called it "The Rage" for the duration of her pregnancy.

Don't beat yourself up too much, all those hormones & body changes are hard work! Be kind to yourself & get some nice treats in. All the best.

You are certainly not alone. I've noticed ever since about 4 weeks into pregnancy that I've been a lot more irritable than usual.

I seem to be moaning about a lot of things, and thank god my DP's sisters as well as my mother have let me rant.

Don't worry too much about it though, it's due to your hormones as you probably well know - so there isn't really anything you can do. If you feel the need to moan, perhaps relax in a bath, ask for some time alone, listen to some relaxing music or well - just moan to someone you are close to!

Glad it's not just me. I'm vile. Been thinking how inadequate those twee "baby on board" badges are that you can wear to encourage people to give you a seat on the tube. Would much rather have a great big one saying FUCK OFF I'M PREGNANT. Why aren't tfl issuing those? Would particularly like one to wear at work.

I watched a rerun of glee the other day, the one with hugely pregnant girls singing and dancing energetically.
I swear to god I had to turn the telly off before I threw the dog something at it Angry
All I'm good for is sitting on my huge whaley arse, moaning at the crap that is daytime tv. Grrrrrrrrrrrr.
Glad I'm not alone though :o

Me too - they say pregnancy makes you more teary and sensitive, haha, bollocks to that. I've been more like an aggressive bulldog! It hasn't been too bad with people I know well ie. family and colleagues, however I truly have no patience for the general public whatsoever.

And having to commute during the Christmas "rush" made me absolutely murderous Angry

I alternate between being a grumpy cow and being a cry baby lol.

I am being really horrible to my husband quite often, very grumpy and unreasonable sometimes, and other times the hormones just flow into me and I say/shout things that I don't even mean. It's horrible, because I'm sort of watching myself from inside and horrified at the way I'm behaving but I can't stop myself. Usually this goes on for an hour or two, accompanied by weeping, and then it passes. It's so hard on the poor man, and my stepkids, who are getting snapped at a lot.

Me too, 37 weeks and can't stop snapping at 2 year old DD and my DH. Also lost it with my boss this week over something very trivial and now feel like an idiot.

Yes, I'm 35 weeks nearly and EVERYTHING is irritating me. I just want peace and order and everyone to be reasonable and respectful and kind to each other in the whole world. Is that too much to ask?! My tolerance level to the crap of life is very low, and it is everyone else's fault!
The universe just doesn't understand how hard it is to bend down, and keeps hiding my shoes.
Everyone expects stuff from me all the time and I'm knackered.
moan moan moan.
breathe!

I'm not too bad at the moment. However my aunt gave me a very useful line if needed in the future (tongue somewhat in cheek)
"Fuck off - I'm growing a nervous system in here"
May come in handy

Yep, moody and a bit tearful at the moment (37 wks + now). Poor old dd gets an earful in the mornings when I'm trying to get her ready for school if she doesn't move fast enough.

And I have become a complete drama queen, every slight problem turns into a crisis and I flap and wail (for example burning the parsnips last week sent me into an hysterical meltdown)!

ROFL, this thread is exactly what I needed! 39wks today and been rather cheesed off since about June! (I don't enjoy being preggers!)

The worst part is yet to come IMO, phone calls from about wednesday onwards from friends and family saying "so you've not had that baby yet then!?!" and "aw, not long now"
and I joyfully reply fuck off and leave me alone "No! ha ha not yet but soon I hope!"
