Braxton Hicks - A few Questions

I'm 32 weeks with my second and I've been having the most awful tightenings/aches/pains they are so strong to the point that I cant stand up staraight. Its espcially bad in the evenings and have been going on for a week or so. My bump goes hard all over and feels very stretched accross the front. Are these Braxton Hicks? Do they tend to be worse second time round? I'm freaking myself out that it means baby will be early (?). Do i just need to try and take the weight off the bump a bit more? They definitly werent like this with my first!

Any advice or experience would be great

Sounds like Braxton Hicks. I got them earlier(starting 25 weeks) and stronger with DC2 - consultant told me that's normal, that they tend to be worse second time around, but are not an indication that baby will come earlier (am now 37 weeks and hoping to hang on a few more weeks!).

I agree - sounds like BH - I got them whenever I walked too fast during my PGs - I got them from about 20 weeks with both (although MW assured me it couldn't possibly be Hmm)

I just found that I had to slow down a bit

mine were born at 40+13 (induced) and 40+11 - so in my case it certainly didn't mean they were coming early!
