Hi
Quickly explain-I had my son in 2003, and when I was 21 weeks preg with him they did a tiny biopsy. I went 12 days overdue with him. I am now nearly 24 weeks pregnant with my 2nd.
I was feeling pressure in my vagina about 16 weeks and at the time th consultant could not find out a) when I went to the colposcopy clinic, and b) if I had the leep procedure/ cone biopsy etc etc.
He decided to send me for a cervix scan at 20 weeks-my cervix was 4cm. I went back at 22 weeks and it was 4.4cm, so now I have to go at 26 weeks to see if its the same, but he said its just routine and it should be ok. (They found out at my last scan at 22 weeks that I had only had a tiny biopsy done when I was preg last time, and it was a diferent consultant and he said although everything looked great he had better do what my normal consultant says and have me back at 26 weeks-normal consultant didnt know I only had the tiny biopsy, you see).
What I'm worried about, probably about nothing, is this morning I had an orgasm. I have only had sex 2 times with Dh, in the first trimester, and I have had a few more orgasms since, although probably only like 1 or 2 a month or something. I am scared now tht every twinge I feel down below that I have "done" something to shorten my cervix by having an orgasm now. Although I have before. I suppose I'm just scared coz I dont go back for a scan til 11th Jan, which seems ages away.
The consultant or doctor have never mentioned no sex...the consultant surely would have, but I'm so paranoid tht he forgot or something!
Any thoughts?
xxxx

I know the womb tightens, but I don't think the cervix is affected. I could be wrong, but I would have thought they would have said. Can you not give them a ring to ask? or your midwife?
