Pregnancy

Er... wind.

Really awful, stinky, CONSTANT wind. From the lower regions.

Is this one of the symptoms of pregnancy, or am I just a smelly old bag who should not be around people?!

Seems standard to me. Some days I'm almost self-propelled.

I think preganacy is really just losing your sense of dignity day by day.

Wind was my first symptom. 8 weeks in and it ain't getting any better, and it's both ends for me. Makes working in an open plan office a whole lot more challenging, let me tell you.

Ive just farted so violently I think Ive blown myself another arsehole, and it hurt Grin

Im 35 weeks now, but it was 100 times worse at the beginning, trying so hard to keep it in at work and around others!

Not just you. I'm 20 weeks and trumping like a trooper. Apparently baby can now hear things, I reckon this is may be why children are so fascinated by farting because it's basically the first thing their poor wee ears ever get to hear.

lol "From the lower regions." - from where else could such smells emanate??

Kelly - that is the best line I have heard this week!!!!!!

Why are you all sniffing your farts??

At least they can be controlled to some extent, but if you have an episiotomy, they will just fall out of your arse without any warning.

See, I was like this BEFORE I got pregnant, and now that I am (12 weeks) the farting has practically stopped. Unfortunately, I still HAVE the wind, I just can't get rid of it as I'm not farting, and I can't burp (haven't been able to, since I was a baby myself). So basically I just slowly inflate over the course of the day, like a hot air balloon preparing for flight.

Eventually I get so bloated it makes me nauseous and I go to the bathroom and heave until I make some awful retching/burping noise and get rid of all the air from my stomach.

I think I'd rather have the farting Sad

Get Delatine by Rennie. Works a treat. Then you can come here and compare smells Grin

Just think how much your digestive oragns are squashed up? That's my excuse to my DP anyway! But yes, it's bad. It was worse for me earlier on, then it dies down a bit.

Well! I certainly put the dampeners on this thread didn't I?! Sorry everyone - please continue with the funny farting stories, I'm just jealous!

sh77 Deflatine helps a little, but the only thing that would make me really feel a million dollars would be a big loud trump! Grin

Windeze was the only thing that helped me out first time round. I am 5+5 now and I have roughly 35 weeks worth at the ready!
