Well I'm pregnant with number one and no joke I'm like a wooly mammoth. Shave my legs and pits and withing 4 days they need doing again?? :/ but on the plus side it has made the hair on my head a lot thicker and shinyy :D

Yes, when I was carrying a boy.

When I was pg with my dd I had the opposite effect - much less grooming required.

I have found that I'm not needing to shave my legs as often as before. Curious...

With my sons I was HAIRRRRRRY!

With DD I wasn't.

This time I am hairy, so I assume its another boy!

Yes, could just about plait the hair on my legs and my lady garden was down to my knees. And I had an enormous amount of hair on my head.

You can normally go more than 4 days without shaving? Bloody hell, thats twice as long as I can even when I'm not pregnant. I do agree though that hair begins to flourish and even crop up in the most strangest of places when one is with child. I for one have a determined long blonde hair that keeps on sprouting from my upper lip. I have to check and snip every few days otherwise I can twist it around my tongue. It's so embarassing.

I did get hairy on the face at first, now @20 weeks it has all gone, and the hair on my legs and arms is much less. I've got pcos so usually very hairy anyway, and definitely much less hairy now than usual :o

Pregnancy: like being bodysnatched only weirder.

Its awful I was doing my make up in the sunlight turned my head and was like :O beard alert. Wasn't a full moon otherwise might of been worried I had been bitten by a warewolf :) yeaa I can go for quite some time I'm just lucky but now? No chance!! And yes the hair on my head is now resembling a perm that's gone wrong i.e in terms of volume. Its rather nice if hair like the shape of a road sign is what ya after.

ooh im wondering if theres a link between hairyness if carrying a girl or not?? I can't remember with DS, it was nearly 7 yrs ago, but my sister said her legs didn't need shaving as much during pregnancy and she had a girl, we decided not to find out and am curious as i haven't shaved my legs in nearly 2 weeks, and they still don't really need doing now! Like you The BreastmilksOnMe I can barely make 2 days normally Confused

Weirdly, I was the other way around- my leg hair stopped growing completely when I was pregnant with DS. This time around though, I've got yeti legs, so I'm wondering if maybe I'm having a girl this time?

my belly has got pretty hairy - not like long fur or anything, just a lot more hair than i have ever had on my stomach, and it is all over it! The hair on my head is thicker than ever, i can't wait for some of it to fall out post pregnancy!

i'm 38+3 with a boy.

Mumbybumby · 19/11/2010 03:21

Every 4 days?! That would be lovely! I am having to shave pretty much every day and have hair where it's never been before (my belly).
I'm normally a pretty un-hairy person too!
So you think that means it is a boy? Can't wait to find out!

Am now 20+4 and found out it was a boy yesterday. Hairy pits, hairier legs, chin hairs and belly hair all present.

Oh and yes, the drool. Eugh. On the plus side, I sing a bit and I find I'm getting dry mouth a lot less.
