Pregnancy

Okay! I'm worrying myself silly and probably no need!

I know that everyone's pregnancy is different but I am worrying myself silly about missed miscarriage! I read one website that says "oh if your symptoms have gone then it's quite possibly a miscarriage" then another where it will say "lots of women lose there symptoms at about 8 weeks and not to worry" I know I am probably being really silly about the whole thing, and I apologise, but doubts start to creep in, especially as it's my first.

I've been the same and this is my second pg. Don't remember being anywhere near as worried first time round but it was 8 years ago and I think I was alot more naive back then. Also didn't have the Internet like we have now, I sometimes think we have access to too much information that we make ourselves irrationally overworried. I have my first scan appointment on Tuesday and am starting to het a little bit more excited even been thinking I can feel the odd flutter in there but probably won't believe it till I actually see it there on the screen.
Sorry not much help there to settle your mind but at least know your not alone!

Please try not to worry, it is hard though isn't it? I know how you feel but unless you have any pain and/or bleeding then a mc is unlikely.

Congratulations and good luck for the rest of your pregnancy! Smile and step away from google!

It's a horrible but common worry. I recall practically thumping my breast to see if they still felt sensitive. Obviously after a few days of whacking them - they were pretty sore.

Try to not read too much on the Internet about pregnancy because you'll worry yourself to death.

Stop Googling. Seriously. It's the best advice you'll get in pregnancy. You will keep Googling till you find something worrying, which is usually a highly unlikely outcome in any case.

I feel exactly the same - hubby gets annoyed with me and 'dr google' as I panic myself silly. My symptoms went at 9 weeks. 16 now and have never felt better or less pregnant. Heard heart beat again friday though. I think pregnancy is just a weird, weird thing and until I see the baby I won't believe that I've ever been preggers despite a growing bump!

Lots of people on my May 2011 due date board felt a lot better starting from 8 weeks (myself included) and most felt better by 10 weeks. This is my third second trimester+ pregnancy and it's been the same each time.

When I've had first trimester losses I've had symptoms the whole time that started to fade around 8 weeks exactly the same as with my keeper pregnancies. I don't hold much stock in what symptoms mean for the pregnancy!

Thanks for your words ladies. I know, I know, I should leave Google alone and I promise I will now. I have to say that today I have had nausea come and go a few times so I guess that's slightly reassured me. It's also good to know that others have had similar experiences. I said to a friend that I always thought that if I ever got pregnant I'd be fine and totally rational. WRONG! Pregnancy does not seem to allow for rationality. Thanks again. x

i have to say I did 6 pregnancy test in the first 12 weeks...demented I know as I was worried about exactly the same.

I also was checking my breasts, all the time, and was convinced id go for the scan at 12 weeks and nothing would be there.
12 week scan we discovered we were having twins !! I am 15 weeks now and still think its not real ..! lol.....

I think its normal, try not to stress yourself out and deff MOVE AWAY FROM GOOGLE. the only thing that seemed to stay in my head from it was the horror stories, never the good stories...good luck with everything Smile.
