Of having to wear maternity clothes!!

Hooray!

I am HUGE now, nothing fits, not even the huge tops donated to me by a friend.
My mat stuff has all been worn to death and I swear I will not be sorry to see the back of them!

Am due a cs 2 weeks today and am revelling in the fact that after this, I will never have to wear matty clothes every again!!

Hurrah!

So goodbye jeans with the holes in the maternity waist that never stay up and make my legs look chubby at the top!
Goodbye tops that cover the top but not quite the bottom of me (so I get a nice drift of fresh air every time I move).
Au revoir combat type flannel trousers that are less maternity and more muffin-top and am sure stretched in the arse and a bit more see-through than I ever wanted Hmm

Cheerio maternity dress! You were lovely and much needed at the time, but you are cheap and black and boring and I resented the £30 I had to spend on you only to look like a ghoul at 2 weddings!

HA!

Congrats to you!

I have to buy a maternity coat today and I am not happy at all.

Ah yes that would be demoralising Paige :(
I feel for you.
I am however bloody freezing when out at the mo as am refusing to buy anything big to keep me warm (just got my winter coats out and none fit as of yet, but will when am no longer 47 inches around the waist).

I refuse to wear maternity after I have baby.

Yes I will be wearing yoga trousers for a few weeks, but dammit, they will not be my maternity jeans!

(I really do have an unfounded hatred for them. I have been wearing them since 14 weeks though for all occasions. Am fed up of 'dressing them up')

HaHa! I hate my mat jeans too. I have to walk along with my hands in the pockets because that's the only way to surreptitiously hold onto them and stop them falling down.

The other day I was walking home and had bags in both hands. My jeans were dangerously sliding down and I was trying to hook my fingers in the pockets to stop the inevitable. As I reached my front door and got inside, they properly fell down altogether!! Shock but thankfully not Blush as I was safely inside by that time and no one else was home. Phew!

I'm nearly 34 weeks (with twins) so I'm expecting perhaps 4 weeks left max. And on the upside I finish work in a few days which means I can wear tracky bottoms for the remaining few weeks.

Blush I'm probably a lone voice here but I kinda like my maternity clothes because they are much more stylish than my civvies! I don't have the problem with my over-the-bump jeans falling down and didn't last time but I like them because they fit and are comfy! After the birth I was in them for a few weeks until I lost some weight and by then I couldn't wait to get out of them and into my normal stuff but I'm grateful to them and I think I'm going to be loathe to part with them when I no longer need them. Perhaps I'll keep them up in my attic for sentimental value?

I'm with Mulled - loving the forgiving waistlines & generous cuts! Although I'm only 31 weeks, I may well get to your mindset yet OP.

I was happy enough until about a month ago, when I got so big that even my bra is getting hard to swivel around when putting on. And by the end of the day I'm so swollen and heavy that I am just begging to take all my clothes off!

Atually, as I type this I an feel my bra digging in. And my waistline cutting into my hips and just under my bump.
Argh!

Would it be acceptable to be naked for the next 2 weeks?
Could they really put a pregnant lady in jail for indecent exposure?

What about my human rights eh? Wink

Think of the effort I have gone to to cover up for all the non-preggers out there - I say it's only fair that I get a bit of free time!

Ugh.....off to shed my clothes.

Promise I will close the blinds first.
