I don't feel pregnant yet!

Hi all,

I found out I was pregnant on Monday which is wonderful news, although a bit of a surprise! I went for an early dating scan today and I'm only 4-5 weeks along (need to go back in 2 weeks to get an accurate date.)

So far so good, but as yet I don't feel very pregnant at all! I have sore boobs which come and go, but that's all. I know I should probably make the most of feeling so well, but can't help thinking that I should be having a few more symptoms! Can anyone reassure me that this all sounds normal?

Thank you! :)

At 4 - 5 weeks, I didn't feel pregnant either!

Had big, slightly tender boobs, but that was absolutely it.

Morning (and evening, and night) sickness came at 7/8 weeks.

I didn't feel pregnant until 17 weeks when i stopped being constantly sick!!!

I felt weird that i didn't feel pregnant, like maybe i wasn't as excited as i should be, but i soon was when it came to scans etc..

Don't worry it will come! And congratulations. x

I didn't even notice I was pregnant until I walked around for a week complaining about my sore boobs...

Even my very patient DH finally suggested I might be which I poo-pooed and then made a very hasty trip to Boots!

Shock and an 'early' scan at 9+5. Still didn't feel pregnant though...Am now 34 weeks. Am feeling very very pregnant now.

Congratulations and make the most of it Grin

I'm 5+3 and still doing tests every few days to reassure myself there's someone in there. No symptoms apart from sleeping a lot (but am on hols anyway) and occasionally sore boobs.

hi emptyshell i remember you from the miscarriage board, if you're the same lady, and wish you all the very very best with your new pregnancy. i really hope this one sticks as i remember your heartache very well. secondly, amazing that you've got pregnant again so soon, after what, if i remember rightly, was a long period of TTC.

Thanks - yes it's me. Three years to get pregnant before the miscarriage, three months to get pregnant again - still ain't quite convinced there's anyone in there yet! Had some brown spotting a few days ago so they're doing an early scan at 7 weeks (just 12 days to wait on that one) so hopefully we'll know more and I can relax a bit then.

Would just love some symptoms to make me feel more reassured!

Hi OP, I didn't 'feel' pregnant until I started to show, even though I felt movement before then.

To be honest, my first trimester symptoms ran away and hid under the bed as quickly as they came, at about 8 weeks which was scary at the time but everyone's different. I had nothing else, literally nothing until about 20 weeks when I felt him move, but even then I thought I just had a wind problem for a week or so before I thought it might be little kicks Grin

Even when I found out he was a 'he' at the 20 week scan, it was like my heart couldn't connect to my head and start feeling different. Honestly, my bump popped out properly about 7 weeks ago now, and it's only since I've had something to look at every day that I feel any different. Before then, and it sounds horrible... it is actually, I had to check myself in restaurants to stop myself ordering a large glass of wine because I genuinely forgot about being pregnant. Shock

Just don't forget that everyone's different and you'll connect with your little one in your own time, and in your own way Smile
