So excited please stay in touch anyone else who is pregnant at this time as it is so exciting on Mumsnet to make like-minded friends! Just found out pregnant with baby number 4 and so excited!!!!I haven't told anyone close not even friends yet we decided to give it a few weeks to settle into it together first and so as not to worry our existing little ones in case things didn't go to plan in the near future but hey can share it with you guys!!! EDD 22.3.11 so early days!

Congratulations!! I am also expecting baby number 4 - was a huge "surprise" but am delighted. I think I am about 8 weeks but am getting an early scan on Wednesday due to my history.

What ages are your other 3? Mine are 12, 10 and 6 so I feel like I'm starting again! Cant really remember what its like to be pregnant.

I know what you mean about not telling anyone - we dont want to until a bit further along, but we have a bit of added stress due to my little boy having special needs and medical problems. Dont want anyone to disapprove, but its our family and even if we had another little star like him it would be wonderful.

I always wanted four!

I'm currently 14 weeks with number 4. EDD 16/01/11. My other dc are 12yo DD, 8yo DS1 and 6.5yo DS2. So number 4 was just a tad unexpected! We have told DP's mum, who was to start with, but is now happily buying half of mothercare. However I am a wussbag still haven't told my own mother, as she believes that any more than 2 is too many, and there should be a 10yr gap between the two as well. She will put such a massive downer on it all, that I really don't want to tell her yet!

thank you so much for your posts,my children are currently dD1- 6,DD2-4 & DS1-2 so at least I nearly managed a 3 year gap this time!Should be a little easier as my middle one is off to school sept & my little lad should be slightly more independent than when I went from 2-3 ( i had all 3 at home) that was a little challenging to say the least.
congratulations to you all,I can't wait to hear how you are getting on.

strange but lovely lol, I had quite a trauma with my last, she was breech and transverse, had to have an emergency c section and had a terrible time with spinal headaches etc so I was put off for a long time, then just thought it would never happen the other children are over the moon as well as all the grandparents etc(im an only child and dh is the only one to produce family on his side)I think christmas is going to be mad, or perhaps put on hold LOL!
But the nice part of being older is being very chilled x

i had a 8 year gap between my first 2 and ther will be a 4 year gap between my youngest and this one.
Loudlass if it's any consolation when I told my Mum (who surprisingly I'm close to) just said "oh for f*@#s sake" and put the phone down on me She hasn't mentioned it since, but I'm not letting it bother me it's her problem

I'm beginning to wonder if I'll pluck up the courage to tell her before I go into labour...!

Im not telling my father as he doesn't ring me from one week to the next month so he will be in for a shock when I say there is a number 4 on the way-the baby may even be here by the time he calls again!don't let anyone put a dampener on such a special thing/time Loudlass.I am not too tired yet but i know it will strike at about 10 weeks!
