I've just cut up an old blanket to use as liners for DS's Motherease nappies. I can't afford to buy the fleece liners so will using the blanket cut up into liners do the same job?

Presumably a fleece blanket as opposed to wool? If so, then yes. I did this with a small offcut of fleece I had and they were much better than the very thin microfleece liners I'd bought.

oh dear, have used them all day on DS and done the evening wash of nappies and the liners went in with them and they have baubled badly! I think it must have been high temp (60 degree wash) because one of the liners was heavily soiled. I usually wash at 40 but had to do it higher tonight.

I think the blanket was wool. I'm an idiot!

I've no idea if wool ones would work (though you seem to have possibly felted them now by washing at 60!). Have you tried posting on the Nappies topic in the Products section? I'm sure someone with more knowledge and experience can advise you.
