Um, your thoughts please?
I have a DS - currently in nappies - who does not like to sit down. Can't decide if this is stupid or brilliant.

Oh I wouldn't buy one. Probably try to fashion my own out of an ice cream tub.
But yes, the step idea has merits .

ds used to stand up while I held the potty under his willy and he would pee into it. He then graduated to the stool at the big toilet and when he was tall enough he stood at the toilet without the stool.

Personally, I prefer that boys sit down when they are starting to toilet train.
Sometimes they don't know if they need a wee or a pooh.
