My son is 2 years and 4 months old. how do you know when they're ready for potty training? How do you begin? Should I see what his nursery (3 days a week) advise? I've heard people mention Oh Crap... Is it actually worth getting and using? We are moving house in the summer... Should I try to potty train him before then, or wait until we're settled in the new place (he will be 3 then) although that will mean he'd be in full time nursery?
Advice gratefully received... I feel like a brand new parent again!

I was lucky in that my nursery essentially made me potty train my two DDs as they were there five days and they cracked it. (I was heavily pregnant when they did DD1 and I was a bit annoyed as I didn’t want to be doing it with a new born, but they were right) They did it my putting them in pants for gradually lengthening periods of time, starting off with one hour. By DD2 I didn’t actually buy a potty as they grossed me out. I just bought a seat for the toilet and a step. Much nicer!!
