My daughter is 3y 5m and we are having a third attempt at potty training starting today. The first attempt 8 months ago she was crying and refusing to eat, drink or poo after three days so we stopped. The second attempt we couldn't even begin as she was crying so much the night before-even though we had tried to prepare her and she seemed happy to start. That was several months ago.

I have offered her with stickers and chocolate buttons this morning just to even sit on potty and gifts for collecting plastic stars when she does a wee or poo. She had a drink at breakfast and lunch but is otherwise not drinking- I offered juices, milkshakes etc! She keeps asking for her nappies and we distract her. She has just had a nappy put on her for her lunchtime nap and still no wee or poo , no accidents nothing. Any advice please? I don't want to give up yet again or I fear she will get used to us aborting potty training!

Sorry, I'm really not sure but didn't want to read and run.

Have you tried any of the potty training books? Maybe some potty training cartoons on YouTube or something?

I have tried. She is very stubborn. Getting so worried as this has been nagging us for a while now

Get a lovely present and do a sticker chart. If she's that old then I wouldn't nag.
A sweet and a sticker for a wee, but don't nag or have other treats available.
Nappies are for toddlers and babies etc

Hi,
I wouldn’t give up - the wilfulness suggests she is totally ready to make the change but just doesn’t want to (one of the issues with older children learning is that they have a greater sense of self identity and stubbornness - my first DC was the same). I’d be giving lots of appealing stuff to drink (cartons of juice or whatever is most desired), plums and fruit to keep things moving and using a Smartie for each poo (and wees as well if need be) as a reward. (This won’t go on long as they eventually stop asking for the reward.) You also have to be firm and say that you’re not using nappies anymore and keep repeating. Try the Oh Crap method for more help! It is great.
