Help - previously potty trained

Our 2.5 year old was successfully potty trained but now refuses to go on the potty (most of the time). She often says "I need a wee" but then when we are like "yeah, great let's go to the potty" she changes her mind and says she doesn't need it. If we we encourage "lets just have a practice" or "let's read this book on the potty" she will start having a melt down "I don't need a wee... I DON'T NEED IT.... AGGGHH". sure enough a couple of minutes later we will have an accident.

We have been loving, calm, patient, praised successes, not chided accidents (as far as possible) but if anything its getting worse not better.

It's making us stressed about leaving the house, and I've half a mind to go back to nappies.

Anyone been here before? Any suggestions?
