6 year old wet at night

My son has just turned 6.
I cannot get him to stay dry at night. He has the odd night where he is dry and a few months ago we would have a run of days where he would stay dry but for no more than 5-7 days at a time.
I now cannot remember the last time he was dry on his own. I have tried waking him at night around 11pm to go for a wee which was working for a while but now he is wet again by the morning.
I have tried leaving him again at night to see if that changes anything, but no luck.
This is my 3rd boy, but he is very active and have had him assessed for adhd, but they don’t think he has this, despite 3 teachers over the years recognise signs of this.
My oldest got dry at night on his own around 3-4.
My middle one got dry at night at around 5, had to wake him too as the same issue but learnt to go on his own.
I just see now sign of improvement, it is worse now than it was about 6 months ago.
Any unique suggestions that worked for you?

There's not much you or he can do - children produce a hormone which wakes them up at night and until that happens, he will wee. If it's still going on when he's 7, you can self-refer to the school nursing team which provide an enuresis advisory service.

Things you could try:
- increase the amount of water he drinks during the day to stretch his bladder. The enuesis nurse we had suggested every 30 minutes
- reduce any drinking in the evenings to small sips.

You can buy an alarm from Eric but they're very loud! I just kept my son in pull ups until he was dry at night. Eventually he was prescribed desmopressin and after 6 months on that, he tapered off and was completely dry by the time he was about 8

My son was about 7 I think. Don't worry. Supermarkets have shelves of these pull up pants for older kids for a reason. He'll be ready in his own time and stressing about it will help no-one

The reason you can't get the referral for the enuresis nurse or clinic before 7 is that it's still considered entirely normal before that age.

Get pull-ups and bed protectors, the worst thing you can do is to get him and yourself stressed about it.

If he's not dry at night in a years time get the referral.
