potty training tips for boys?

my boy is nearly 3. we've been sitting him on his potty for a while now but he never goes. we've got him his own Paw Patrol toilet training seat so he can use the big toilet like mummy & daddy. he likes it but doesn't want to stay on for long. how often should i put him on it? he starts preschool next month and i want it well under way by then. any tips for training boys?

Boys, girls, doesn't matter. Let them be naked, that way they notice when they peed and will soon be able to recognise the feeling prior to peeing.
