Potty training

How do you decide when to take off nappies at night?

This one is confusing me.

DD2 is 2.7. She’s 95% potty trained. There are still a few times when she gets distracted and just goes (including when standing on the beanbag last week!)

Pretty much since I started potty training her (at Easter) her nappies have been dry in the morning. But she seems so young to be out of nappies at night. DD1 was almost 4!

So how do you decide.

I just went for it after a week of dry nappies in the morning. He seemed keen as well to wear pants at night like a big boy and I have another on the way so selfishly I liked the idea of only having 1 in nappies.

Only had 1 accident in a couple of months and he was just over 3. We did cut down on the drinks from tea time onwards, but other than that didn’t do anything different.

Give it a go, worst that can happen is you have to go back to nappies for a bit.

Like PP, we waited for a week of dry nappies. He was only 22 months but he was ready- has never wet the bed and that was 3 weeks ago, we didn't even need to cut down evening milk. Age doesn't matter, they all get to that physical point at different times, but when they do and you stop seeing wet nappies, go for it!
