Any advice would be much appreciated. Bought and read 'Oh Crap potty training' gearing up to get DS1 started on potty training (he's 29 months) we tried a few times before without much success, but this time not being able to drive post c-section i thought right lets stay in and give it a good go.
We are now on week 2, week 1 he would have about 3-4 accidents a day, only poo when night time nappy was put on. He seems aware that he is peeing but is very content to wee on the floor, was bottom half naked the whole week and not once would he sit on potty without being prompted and lifted on, wouldnt stay on unless in front of the TV and only then about half the time would hold pee then pee on floor. He can hold his pee while we are out for a good couple of hours. Week 2 has been the same so far but he just had his first poo accident and didnt tell me or seem bothered about it.
Any suggestions on what other mumsnetters have tried to help? The book really recommends getting them potty trained before 30 months otherwise the muscles that control peeing atrophy but all the advice I'm getting from other mums is to wait until he is older and it will be easier.
