Night time potty routine

Hello,
My DD has expressed that she doesn't want to wear nappies at night anymore. She has been dry during the day for about a year so I'm happy to go with her suggestion. At the moment we are doing dream wees with her but when I try and do one with her at 10.30 when I go to bed she's not ready to do one and so it means waiting until 12.30 to put her on potty which is making us really tired!! I then wake up about 4/5ish (pregnancy!) and do another one for her and then she sleeps till 7.30 dry.

My question is how long would you do the dream wees like this before leaving her to her own devices and see how long she goes? This is only day 3 and the only accident she has had is about 12.45 because she was coughing a lot and we hadn't done the 12.30 dream wee but I don't want to have to rely on getting up?

What is normal routine for night weaning like this?

I hope you are waking her to pee as otherwise you are teaching her to pee in her sleep! It's not something that's recommended for night training (You can't really train for nights as its hormone dependent)

Oh wow I had not even thought of that! There I was thinking I was helping but that makes complete sense that it's probably actually quite detrimental! Maybe it's best just to leave her to it then and not get involved? It was her idea to go nappy free so I do still want to try and embrace it while she has the motivation
