Morning! Can anyone recommend a good toddler toilet seat please? I have a DS, not sure if that makes a difference when selecting a seat or not!! He's just turned 2 and I'm hoping planning on getting him to use the toilet straight away instead of a potty . TIA!

I don't think it makes much difference. I went for a cheap one that had good reviews on amazon and it was fine. You definitely don't have to spend much its more important that it doesn't slip about on the seat so one with a good non slip bottom is important.

I wish I'd bought a toilet seat that is an all in one where there is a seat for an adult then you pull down another seat for the child then there is the toilet seat lid

We had a BabyBjorn one and it was ace. Really stable as it has an adjustable wedge system to hold it tightly to the adult loo seat. Not cheap though but it lasted us 4+ years.
For an older toddler, the two in one adult / child seats are good but found them a bit big for our dinky 2 year old.

I have always used the Ikea ones they’re brilliant.

I wanted to go straight to the toilet too but they can’t quite reach and need a lot of help, potty’s are much easier and they can be independent from day one.

I like the Ikea ones but the ones where the kid seat is integrated into the adult one are fab.

We have the Ikea one upstairs which is fine & downstairs we have an integrated toilet seat which is fantastic & was definitely the turning point in DS stopping using the potty as he could do it all by himself & didn't feel he needed my help.

Ikea ones stay in place better than the others we had.

The integrated / double seats are a good investment if you are having more than one child, my friend had one fitted 6 years and 3 kids ago. It's very easy when we go there, no holding or hoovering the child!

Hovering not hoovering! Crikey!

You can get ones with little ladders for kids to use.

We potty trained for 3 weeks then she wanted to use potty when she saw us using it all the time - much easier but she is very tall for her age and easy to get on loo.

Foldable toilet seat for out and about helps too - cheap and cheerful to buy and clean with Milton wipes.

Ikea is really good and non slip unlike some others we tried.

We like the Luvdbaby one, with matching panda double step. Very comfy and non-slip.
