Pooing in pants - HELP

My 2.5yr old dd has been toilet training for a few months. Wee is fine, she knows, she goes, pretty good.

Pops total opposite. She has NEVER pood on a potty or toilet, not once. It's becoming quite a performance now. This morning I've left her pant free so she's not go in her pants but she cane to find me to ask for pants and trousers pre doing a massive poo in them.

I don't understand the psychology but I'm told this is quite common in girls. Can anyone help?

She also is very reluctant to let me then change her and gets very upset by the whole thing.

Is it possible you get very frustrated with her and she is worried about this? Even a sigh etc and other negative attention won't help. Maybe she thinks she can hide it if she has pants and is worried about it. Alternative suggestion is that she has previously had constipation and is worried that it will be painful using the toilet (is a potty an option?), and likes to get into a certain position to make it easier to pas the poop, even if she is not currently constipated (have you seen the unicorn poop ad on you tube?)

Our son did this until we got him some special poo stickers. He was fully poo poo trained by the time we finished them

She has previously really struggled with painful pooing but I think this is mostly better now - she certainly doesn't strain as much now. I do ask her why, and yes I probably do get a bit exasperated by it, it's becoming quite a drawn out process now..... she says it's hard doing it on the potty and I think she is scared.

We've bought a couple of books that tell stories about pooing on the potty and she seems quite keen on the idea but then it never happens and she wants to go in her pants again.
