Started ds (2yr 4m) potty training last week after he asked to use the toilet and to wear pants. I planned to follow the oh crap method and wait until he had settled into nursery. We've had a lot of accidents in the beginning but the last 2 days he did all wee and poo on the potty without any prompting from me.
Now the issue is he starts nursery tomorrow so I thought I'd better help him get used to wearing pants. Today he has gone in his pants for wee and poo with no attempt to get to the potty other than once. It seems to have completely thrown him.
Nursery said to persevere as it seems he may be ready but should I just constantly have him in pants until he gets it or have some time where he has nothing on so he has some successes/is still in the habit of using the potty? The other thing is he hates being told to sit on the potty but seems to do so well left to his own devices, which is great, until I realised he's not going to be able to do that there. Shall I ask them to keep taking him? I don't want it to put him off.
