My little girl is 2 years 9 months and has been potty training since July. We occasionally get the odd accident which I understand but she often leaks slightly in her pants and sometimes this is her Q to go but on other occasions she stil says she doesn't need to, is this normal and will she get the feeling of needing o go earlier or is it a problem? I feel like she should be telling me by now that she needs to go and not me asking and getting her to go regularly? Am I expecting too much??

Hi OP, this is what the NHS website says about potty training.

"By age one, most babies have stopped doing poos at night.
By age two, some children will be dry during the day, but this is still quite early.
By age three, 9 out of 10 children are dry most days – even then, all children have the odd accident, especially when they're excited, upset or absorbed in something else.
By age four, most children are reliably dry during the day."

I think your daughter is doing well. I would expect accidents up to the age of 4.
My son started potty training age 3.3 (and wouldn't poo on toilet but that's another issue) and the difference between then and now (3.10) is enormous. Organising lots of change until she gets more confident is key. It's very stressful on the parent but I think the children just need a little time.
Hope that helps.
😊
