My 6 year old DS has started wetting the bed again, he stopped wearing nappies at 4 and half to bed, should I put him back in nappies/pull ups ? DH wants too as he fell asleep on sofa and did a wee the other night Confused thoughts? He doesn't have a infection either

hi Hectic. My 5yo girl started doing the same thing about three weeks ago. Suddenly barely a dry night after she'd been dry for a good 6-8 months. Urine infection showed up but AB course nearly finished and no change. Last night and Sat night she wet the bed twice. Last night I even got her up at 11pm to do a wee because DH bed bound with a virus and I didn't want to deal with it all by myself (while trying not to wake up the 2yo!) but it made no difference. Doc appt that I booked a couple of weeks ago is this arvo. Will report back.

Doc checking for diabetes. Organising blood test at local hospital. Says it's unlikely that it is that as she's fit and well, no family history, no sugar in the urine sample I took yesterday or in the original one and the fingerprint test the nurse did showed a normal snapshot sugar reading but they have to rule it out. Thereafter it'll be a referral to a paediatrician to find out what's going on. She hasn't got a urine infection anymore - the AB have dealt with that. So basically from my experience it's worth investigating. Doc didn't try to brush it off as nothing - she took me seriously and was v kind.
