Apologies in advance I realise I might be doing things completely wrong here.

DS has turned 2 a couple of months ago.

We have a potty and a toilet potty seat.
I usually sit him on the potty first thing in the morning and before bedtime and a few times in between through the day.
He tells me if he's done a 'poo' and wants his nappy changing but won't tell me before.
If he says 'poo' and I check his nappy and it's clean and I ask if he wants to go on the potty he says 'no'. Sometimes he won't sit on it sometimes he will happily do so.
I've been sitting him down for 3 months now and all he's managed is 1 wee, which he got lots of praise for and seemed really happy with himself but that was weeks ago and nothing since.

Am I doing something wrong?
Any tips from pro potty trainers out there?

Too soon and too much, just leave him for now, leave him for another few months.

At bath time, let him run round without a nappy, start with that for now.
Don't stress about it, don't push it, don't make any fuss.

He just isn't ready yet.

I read the Oh Crap book before we started which was a huge help.
