So my DD has started potty training as a big thing being done by her childminder (they have a large number all 2 1/2 to 3 yr old)

Anyway since Thursday morning she's only had 2 accidents at the childminders. She was then looked after my brother over the weekend where she was again very good or saying she needed a wee but not lasting before getting to the toilet.

However, with me - since 1pm she has peed on the living room floor twice, the kitchen floor and pood on her bedroom carpet. None of these times has she told me she needed to go, the potty is in the living room to be used.

I've tried talking about rewards to her but nothing seems to work.

I feel like she's trying to see how far she can push me. I've also tried telling her 'oh dear never mind, next time just tell mummy if you need a wee.' This just feels like shear defiance.....

Is it just me??

We had to give up trying as with a new born the stress was too much but would love to hear if anyone has gone through something similar. Just like to know when is the right time.....

We done 3 attempts at potty training. Aged 2.5 & 2.7 and it wasn't working so we gave up both times.

We just started he 3rd attempt at 2.10 and it's just clicked on my dd head. She's telling us when she needs to pee and sits on the potty. Your dc just isn't ready yet but when they are ready it will be easier
