Seem to have hit a wall... help

Trying to potty training DD, 2yrs 8 months. We're a few days in, first day was a nightmare, second day really good lots of wees and a poo on the toilet, third day she was at nursery all day so there were more accidents but still find ok and managed to wee on the toilet there a couple of times. The last two days and the this morning though she's been really against the whole idea, crying/huffing about wanting to go back into pull ups and not wanting knickers. I'd put this down to bring constipated (she had been trying to poo for a couple of days) but she managed that this morning (I let her have pull ups first thing as she was trying to poo but didn't want to do it on the toilet. Had to bribe her into knickers with a biscuit this morning, then about 10 minutes ago she said she needed a wee, took her up to the toilet but no joy. Nevermind, we are still getting a lot of false alarms. But she then started to get upset again when I was pulling her knickers back up, saying she didn't want them and wanted pull ups.

Is this just a normal blip that I should power through, or is insisting that she wears knickers going to do more harm than good in the long run?

I'd just let her go back in pull ups and suggest the pants again tomorrow. There's no point in forcing her if she is getting upset.

You get two lots of answers - give up and try again when she's ready or power through

We powered through - I think for us the novelty wore off after a couple of days and dd was bored with the interruptions to what she was doing to go to the loo etc. However we just kept going. Pull ups only for night, pants or bare bum all other times. Ignored the accidents, praised the successes, tried to avoid sitting her on the loo/potty just to "try" (as that gets tedious and doesn't help them learn when they need to go imo). Worked ok for us but everybody does it differently

DD is currently sulking and not talking to me and refusing to entertain the idea of breakfast, so I'll admit I'm leaning towards the idea of pull ups...

Hi Op, we are currently 1 week into training our 2 year 10 month old and I feel like we aren't really moving forward at all!
He seems to be able to hold his wee for a very long time but then it just comes so quickly he can't stop it so we sometimes manage most of the wee on the potty but sometimes he just does he whole wee in his pants, poos are still in his pants unless we catch him in time. He is dry overnight but wet his bed this morning as he was up later than normal so not sure whether I should put him back in nappy tonight or carry on with pants overnight.
im being told to just carry on now so not to confuse him but I'm not sure!
He hates sitting on the potty and refuses the toilet (always has) we are trying to use bribery to get him on the potty but even that fails sometimes
Since Sat I would say he has had ten accidents including three poo incidents but that's mainly because I put him on potty, he rarely asks to sit on it so I don't know what to do!

Sorry that's a bit of a ramble lol I just wanted to let you know you are not alone
