Potty training

using pieces of duplo as rewards?

We've already got this huge duplo set which is about 50+ pieces and makes a house with furniture and people and all that. DS (3.3) is obsessed with duplo so it will definitely motivate him. We're on the third attempt (since last year) and into day 3 he's lost momentum again and I'm desperate not to fail again but worried I'll push him too hard out of desperation. Haven't tried reward charts before for anything but had it in the back of my mind that if it didn't work too well this time, I would start one. So this is just a twist on that idea of stars gets a prize, instead he gets a piece every time he poos or wees on the potty. Can anyone foresee any problems?

Just answering my own question, I suppose it is a problem when he's a nursery, or with anyone that's not me. Hmm suppose that's the problem with reward charts in general.

I've been doing stickers for each wee and poo, including when they tell me at nursery he has gone, and then I've been buying him a small car at the end of each day of good trying (note - even if he has an accident that day as long as he tries!) I think duplo is a great idea!
