Dd is almost 25 months and has never really been interested in the potty. We have a book about an accident and them using the potty and ask her if she wants to sit on the potty before bath or when I go but so far she hasn't cared. She will sometimes tell us when she has done a wee or a poo in her nappy (with a wee we can't tell obviously)
Then today she said wee wee and I said ok do you want potty and she ran off.
Cue wee on the potty.
I've not planned this at all and was aiming for summer.
I've just asked her randomly through the day if she needs a wee. She says yes, runs off and wees on her potty.
Is this OK? Do I keep asking her until she figured it out herself. She wears pull up nappies for ease already and I don't really want to discourage her if she's showing an interest.
I'm going to mention it to nursery as she's there full time so I expect they will end up doing most of the training.
