Potty for v large boy - ideas, please

Hi there
Been potty training and doing ok (parental inconsistency is the biggest problem, must try harder!).

Problem is my 2.5 yr old is over 3 stone and big (broad). His willy sticks over the edge of the biggest potty I could find, so even 'successes' leave me mopping the floor unless I supervise every minute - and the end goal is surely independence! Potty is not comfortable, leaves big red marks on his thighs. (This is the one www.argos.co.uk/m/static/Product/partNumber/3766004.htm)

Duck seat on loo shifts about too much when he sits and makes him scared, and I can't lift him to place him on it - he's just too heavy. I've bought two 'family' seats with toddler insert but our loo doesn't have a standard fixing. It's driving me mad!!

Feel like he's doing well but this is so much harder since he's so big. How we'll manage out and about I don't know - Potette is useless for him, and I can't hold him on an adult seat!!

Anyone know of good potties for big bums (my little one can't be the only one!), or seats for loo, please!

We went straight to toilet and used a Baby Bjorn toilet seat as it adjusts to fit securely.

Same as titscrossed went straight to toilet with training seat. No potty was big enough for my dc1

He's about 98cm tall

This IKEA potty might be better. It's a lot bigger than standard ones and won't pinch his thighs in.

That ikea one does look good - thanks LBOCS2 (should have learned from experience with Antilop highchair - always buy ikea!)

I can lift him but small bathroom, heavy wriggling child and back already done in from lifting into car seat etc mean gently lowering on to wobbly seat is impossible! Sounds like a more secure seat that he can get on to himself would do the trick - didn't know you could get adjustable ones.

My ds was the same. Very tall and big for his age and would feel really unsafe on the normal sized potty.

It's large and sturdy and you lift the actually potty section out of the middle for emptying.

We tried straight to the toilet but he felt so unsafe and hated it. We got potty training nailed quickly and then slowly introduced the idea of the toilet with a 2 step stool to secure feet on.
