dd is 4.5. Until two weeks ago she was having a big beaker of milk before bed and a few months ago she started saying she wanted to stop pull ups. We had been changing her pull ups when we went to bed around 11 and they were wet through by then and then when she wakes at 7 ish they'd be wet through again and sometimes have leaked.
Anyway we said she could stop the pull-ups once she has stopped the milk and in the two weeks since stopping milk but still wearing pull ups she has been mostly dry when I have gone to bed (though not always) and then wakes up at around 5am to use the loo, going back to sleep again after if snuggle dup in my bed with me.
So tonight I was out and she convinced dh that she didn't need pull up. Fine - needs to be done at some point and would love her to be out of night time pull ups before she starts school in sept. Dh didn;t insist she do a wee before bed which is annoying - he said he asked her and she said she didn't need one (but I would have insisted she try!). Just came to bed ten mins ago and massive wee needing entire change of bedding and clothing etc.
So main point is - can anyone talk me through what I am meant to do now. I have tried lifting her when I go to bed but she just screams and thrashes about. So no drink before bed and insist on a wee before bed, but what else - what can make her either hold it all night or wake at 10pmish when she needs a wee?
Thanks - hope this makes sense.
