Dd has just turned 3 and was showing signs that she was ready, telling me when she needed a wee or poo and wanting nappy changed as soon as she had finished.

Started potty training (point blank refuses to go near a toilet) last Wednesday and there has been no change at all. She starts off by calling me and standing next to the potty and wetting herself. She will happily sit on the potty when she doesn't need to go.that's how its been all week. No amount of promises of stickers or treats will get her on it, that's how its been all week.

What on earth do I do?

Keep going! Let her go at her own pace! I was in a similar position, could feel myself starting to let it get to be, and I just slowed down. Accidents - no big deal. If she sits on the potty - praise. If she manages something on it - lots of praise. She will get there. Changing a 3 year habit in just a week is a big deal to LOs. :-)

Thank you, it just seems like a battle of wills at the moment
