Started normal potty training about two weeks ago with DS (2 and a quarter). It has been going really well and had v few accidents. I have still been putting him in nappies at night as figured that was something separate to tackle a little way down the line. Baby Number two is coming soon and thought would be easier all round if DS was still in nappies at night time for a bit.
The problem is that DS won't use his nappy at night and so sometimes wakes up at 3 or 4 needing the loo (then a nightmare to get back to sleep afterwards). It seems counter intuitive to say no no do the wee in your nappy when he obviously is doing the right thing but am struggling a bit to cope with such a lack of sleep. And nervous about this still happening when bsby comes. I don't think he's ready to just get up and go by himself (is that what other people do?) and is still in a cot in any case (soon to be changed).
What should I do? Have thought about limiting fluid in take etc but is he maybe just too young in any case to make it through a whole night. What did everyone else do?
